BASSINGBOURN BARRACKS
Royston Road, Bassingbourn, Cambridgeshire T : 01763 242271
From Royston take A1198 towards Bassingbourn, approximately 2 miles. Go
straight over double mini-roundabout, and the entrance to the barracks is
½ mile on the left hand side. Please note drivers will require some form
of identification eg drivers licence. There are no toilets or changing
facilities at the astro.
BURY ST EDMUNDS SPORTS CENTRE
BUSHFIELDS SPORTS CENTRE

From the A1 Northbound take the main Peterborough exit (Junction 17) onto
the A1139. This is Fletton Parkway. Take the first exit off the Parkway,
signposted Orton centre. At the roundabout take the second exit,
signposted Orton Centre onto a dual carriageway. At the next roundabout
turn right (4th exit) following signs to the Orton Centre (now on Goldhay
Way). Go past the Environment Agency building and turn left towards the
Orton Centre before you get to the traffic lights. Go over the bus lane
(Rainbow Co-op in front of you). Turn left before the Rainbow car park and
keep going until the last exit on right into car park, signposted
Bushfields Sports Centre. The Sports Centre is to the left.
COLDHAMS COMMON
Abbey Swimming Pool, Cambridge, CB5 8NT T : 01223 213352
This is situated behind the Abbey Pool on Whitehill Road. Parking and
Changing Rooms are in the pool complex, park in front, pitch is round the
back. Whitehill Road is to the East of Cambridge, off the A1303 (Newmarket
Road). It is best to avoid the centre of Cambridge to get here. From the
South follow the ring-road round to the East (onto Barnwell road) until
you meet the A1303. Turn left at the Roundabout and Whitehill road in on
your left about 100m further. From the North follow round the A14 until
you hit the B1047 (can only be exited if travelling on the eastbound
carriageway) and take this into Cambridge through Fen Ditton. At the
T-junction at the end of the road turn right onto the A1303. Go straight
over the roundabout onto the A1134 and Whitehill Road in on your left
about 100m further. If you reach the football ground you have gone too
far.
DEEPINGS LEISURE CENTRE

Come from Peterborough and come off the bypass to the centre of Market
Deeping. Turn right towards Spalding (Bull pub immediately on left) and
follow the road towards Spalding. It curves slightly left and about 3/4
mile ahead you'll see a footbridge over the road which connects school and
playing fields. Turn left just before the footbridge and immediately right
into grounds. Changing room beside astro.
ELY OUTDOOR SPORTS ASSOCIATION

Come off the A10 north of Ely onto the B1411 to Little Downham. Take
turning immediately left onto drive to EOSA / Football Club / Golf Range.
EMBANKMENT SPORTS CENTRE
Embankment Road, Peterborough, PE1 5BW
Leave the A1 at the main exit for Peterborough onto the A1139 / Fletton
Parkway. Continue along this dual carriageway for a few miles until you
can see the athletics track, with pitch behind it down on the left hand
side. Come off at the next exit, and at the roundabout turn left for the
City Centre. At the next roundabout turn left again, and then again at the
next mini-roundabout. Park in the Peterborough City Council Long Stay car
park along there about 75 metres, just beside the Regional Pool. This is
pay and display. The entrance to the track and pitch is at the back of the
car park.
HINCHINGBROOKE SCHOOL
Brampton Road, Huntingdon, PE18 6BN
Come off the A14, close to the junction with the A1. Signposted
Racecourse, Brampton and Hinchingbrooke Park and Hospital. Follow the road
into Huntingdon, past Feltwells Garage, over the roundabout onto a 50mph
zone. Just after it drops to 30mph, with Hinchingbrooke House now on your
left hand side behind a wall you want to turn left, signposted
Hinchingbrooke Park / Hospital and House. Over the set of lights and into
the School at the second turning. Follow the road through the gap in the
wall, and at the t-junction at the end turn right and park there. Come
back to the t-junction and follow the path down to the pavilion and pitch.

KING’S SCHOOL, ELY
Follow the A10 to Ely. At the roundabout on the edge of city go straight
over, signposted Ely and a brown tourist attractions sign (the A10
continues left). Past the Golf Club and then shortly after an Esso garage
on your left hand side there is a turning right signposted Cathedral Car
Park. This is Barton Road. Follow this road left and then right (into a
traffic calmed area). The turning into the School Visitors Car Park is
just before a mini roundabout, on the right hand side after the Junior
School entrance and an another School (‘something’ House) entrance .
KIMBOLTON SCHOOL
Come off the A1 at the roundabout at Brampton (Shell Garage on corner)
onto the B661 and follow signs for Graffham and Kimbolton. Pass Graffham
on your right hand side, through Perry and continue on to Kimbolton (onto
B645) and you pass the pitch on your left hand side. You need to continue
into Kimbolton and just after the sharp turning right into the main street
in Kimbolton turn left and then through the gateway entrance into the
School.
THE LEYS SCHOOL

Again, best to avoid the centre in getting to this pitch. Come off the M11
at junction 12 onto the A603 and follow the road into Cambridge. Just past
Newnham College Sports Ground on your left the road goes round to the left
at traffic lights. You then come to a roundabout where you turn right onto
Fen Causeway. At the end of this you turn right at the roundabout. The
School is on your right hand side as you come along Fen Causeway and on
Trumpington Road, but you want the entrance just after the second Pelican
Crossing which takes you round the back of the sports centre and beside
the pitch. Or come from junction 11 of the M11 (with A10) head into
Cambridge. Cross two sets of traffic lights (past Park and Ride and
Waitrose) and go past a Shell Garage on left and an Esso Garage on the
right. Through another set of traffic lights, and then another. Just after
the patch of green on your left hand side is the turning into the Leys
School Sports Centre car park, about 10 yards before a Pelican Crossing
and easy to miss.
NEALE WADE COMMUNITY CENTRE

From Chatteris and the south at the first roundabout on the edge of March
turn right into March. There is a garage just up on the left-hand side. Go
past this until you come to a second garage. The ground is in the Neale-Wade
School on the right.
NEWPORT FREE GRAMMAR SCHOOL
Bury Water Lane, Newport, Saffron Walden
On the B1383 approximately 17 miles south of Cambridge. If travelling
south come into Newport and passed the Coach and Horses pub on left hand
side. Under railway bridge and then take first turning to the right (Bury
Water Lane). Entrance to school is approximately 200 yards on right hand
side. Follow school drive, past gym building. Changing rooms beside pitch.
THE PERSE SCHOOL

From junction 11 of the M11 (with A10) head into Cambridge. Cross two sets
of traffic lights and go past an Esso garage on the right. At the next set
of traffic lights turn right into Long Road. Go over the railway bridge
and turn left at the first set of traffic lights into Hills Road. The
Perse School is on the left just before the first pedestrian crossing.
Changing facilities are the small pavilion on the right at the end of the
driveway.
PETER BOIZOT ASTRO
St Catherines College, Grantchester Road, Cambridge
From junction 12 of the M11 (with A603) turn into Cambridge. To get to the
changing rooms take the second right (past the Hat and Feathers pub) into
Kings Road. Follow this all the way to the end and continue about 200m
down a private road. The changing rooms are on the left beyond the metal
gate at the end. A grass pitch is directly in front of the changing rooms.
To get to the astro go back out of Kings Road to the A603 and turn left,
then next left into Grantchester Road (past the language school on the
corner). Follow the road for about ¾ mile past the Rugby Club (on the
right) and the pitch is on the left hand side.
PETERBOROUGH TOWN SPORTS CLUB

Bretton gate is next to the Edith Cavell Hospital on the NW side of
Peterborough, close to the ring road designated A47 at that point. From A1
south leave at first and main exit for Peterborough / A1139 / Fletton
Parkway. Then take the 2nd exit off the Fletton Parkway, taking first exit
at the roundabout onto Nene Parkway / A1260. At the end of this take the
last exit onto Soke Parkway / A47 leaving at the first opportunity. Take
the 3rd exit at this roundabout to Bretton Gate and then take the second
exit at the next roundabout (effectively straight on). Take the first exit
off this road into the Sports Club.
SAFFRON WALDEN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL
ST IVO OUTDOOR CENTRE

From the A14 take the St Ives turning onto the A1096. Follow this road and
straight over the first roundabout (Vindis VW garage on LHS). You are on
the St Ives bypass - go straight over the next roundabout, past the
Sailing Club on your right hand side, first exit (All Routes) at the next
roundabout and then at the next roundabout first exit again. This is now
the A1123, and will be signposted Huntingdon. At next roundabout take the
first exit again, with Filling Station now on your RHS. At traffic lights
at crossroads take go straight over, Shell Garage on your LHS. Past two
pelican crossings and at next set of main lights turn right into Hill
Rise. Then take the second turning left into California Road and the St
Ivo Ourtdoor Complex is at the end of this road.
ST NEOTS RECREATION CENTRE

From the A1 come off when signposted A428 Cambridge and over first
roundabout following this signposting too. Past Wyboston Golf Club
fairways on right hand side. At the next roundabout take the first exit
and Tesco is on your left hand side. Strainght over roundabout and then
the Ernulf School / St Neots Recreation Centre is next on the left hand
side, take the first exit at the roundabout. If travelling on the A428
from Cambridge ignore the first turning signposted into St Neots at the
roundabout. Follow the A428, under road and railway bridges and at the
next roundabout turn right. Tesco now on your left hand side, and
therefore as above.
UNIVERSITY SPORTS GROUND

Is on the west side of Cambridge and it is recommended that you avoid the
centre. Come off the M11 at junction 12 onto the A603 and follow the road
into Cambridge. Opposite the Hat and Feathers pub, immediately after a
Pelican Crossing turn left into Grange Road. Over two mini-roundabouts,
past the Cambridge University Rugby Ground on your left, and just after
the Real Tennis Courts on your right turn left at the lights into Adams
Road. This is the fourth left. Follow Adams Road to its end, and as the
road becomes Wilberforce Road as it turns right turn left into the
Cambridge University Sports Ground. The pitch is tucked behing the
pavilion.
WOODLANDS / PEARL ASSURANCE

Head up the A1 past the first turning to Peterborough, and get off onto
the A47. Loop round and head left towards Peterborough on the A47. After
about 1 mile, turn right at a roundabout towards Castor. Head through the
village, staying right on the old main road. Past two pubs there is a sign
for Woodlands Sports Centre.
